FORMER premier North Queensland trainers Mick and Amber Boody have leased Noble Park a 40-acre rearing and training complex at Churchable from Tom and Lyn Noble.
The Nobles have purchased a four-acre property near Ipswich in a bid to downsize
their racing operation.
The Boodys have been in greyhound racing for the past seven years and their success in the north has prompted them to give “the big smoke” a try.
They won the Bundaberg and Rockhampton Cups with kennel star Amby’s Love this year.
Already that dog has made the recent Ipswich Gold Cup final in the short time they have been in the south-east.
“We will take over the rearing of the more than 50 pups on the property, will train a few dogs for ourselves, and will be available to educate the pups we rear and also spell dogs,” said Mick Boody.
The Boodys have been in the industry for seven years and in that time have produced a top grade greyhound from every litter they have reared.

“Amber is a real animal lover and a workaholic,” said Mick of his wife.
“There are some very well bred pups on the property and we have a couple of our own bitches just been mated.”
Noble Park is a showplace among greyhound properties.
Tom and Lyn have spent many years developing the property.
It has a number of whelping rooms, plenty of yards for spelling dogs, large holding yards that open onto large galloping paddocks up to five acres.
A feature of the paddocks is the man-made dams.
“The land around here finds it difficult to hold water, so I dug out small dams in each paddock, laid black plastic and cemented in the holes to provide a dam for each of the yards,” said Tom Noble.
Mick and Amber Boody will reap the benefits of the Noble hard work.
Stars like Devine Gem are testament to Noble Park’s successful methods.
